Can I convert the Built-in 500 natural gas grill to propane?

Napoleon grills are gas specific and shouldn’t be modified in any way. Fortunately, we carry the Built-in 500 Propane version!

How big is the Built-in 500 grill?

The Built-in 500 is 33.5-in wide, 27.6-in deep, and 24-in high. It weighs 160 lbs. The main cooking grid is 29.5 x 18 inches, for a main grilling area of 525 square inches. The secondary grilling area totals 261 square inches.

Do I need an insulated grill jacket for the Built-in 500 grill?

The cabinet frame and cabinet MUST be made from non-combustible material! If not, you need to install the grill with the Napoleon Zero Clearance Liner. Note: the item description specifies the 700 Series grill, but Napoleon confirms this liner also works for the Built-in 500.
